Ukrainian banks apply two types of limits: the bank’s own limits and financial monitoring rules set by the National Bank of Ukraine. Cash deposits at branches or terminals are usually limited to UAH 150,000 per transaction. P2P transfers are typically limited to UAH 100,000–150,000 per day. If the total monthly turnover exceeds UAH 400,000, the bank may request confirmation of the source of funds. Cash withdrawals from ATMs are limited to UAH 50,000 per day, and up to UAH 150,000 at bank branches, with all such operations subject to financial monitoring. For international transfers, the limit is UAH 400,000 per month without documentation, although banks increasingly request explanations. Any transaction exceeding UAH 30,000 is subject to review. Banks also closely monitor cryptocurrency-related transactions and may block cards if suspicious activity is detected.
